Jokulsargljufur National Park

After reuniting with our intrepid whalers and enjoying a lunch lecture on glaciers from our resident geologist, Peter, we moved on to Jokulsargljufur to explore some hiking trails.

It was snowing when we arrived,  so we chose the Asbyrgi trail to a pond surrounded by towering basalt walls.

I think you'll agree, it was worth braving the elements.
