More Foss*
I watched a Rick Steves Iceland video during the outbound flight that started with:
"Iceland is known for waterfalls, volcanoes, waterfalls, glaciers, waterfalls, geysers, waterfalls, steam vents, waterfalls, puffins and waterfalls".
Today, we saw 2 more waterfalls.
Our first stop was Seljalandsfoss, Iceland's most photographed waterfall and we tried to uphold the tradition. Seljalandsfoss falls far enough away from the cliff wall to walk completely around it.
Later in the day we explored the Skogafoss falls. Most had enough sense to view this one from a safer distance, but I got up close and personal. The sound was deafening and the spray nearly hurt. Despite the rain gear, I was completely soaked. It was meta.
*Icelandic for ... waterfall
